RESPECTING INTERNATIONAL HUMAN & LABOUR RIGHTS
Transparency Act
The Transparency Act ("Åpenhetsloven"), came into effect on July 1, 2022 and aims to promote businesses' respect for basic human rights and decent working conditions throughout their supply chains. It gives access to the general public and requires large and medium-sized companies to conduct due diligence assessments to identify, prevent, and mitigate risks of adverse impacts on human rights and working conditions.
Companies must conduct due diligence assessments to identify, prevent and mitigate risks of adverse impact and provide information on how they will address such risks, should any findings be made during the assessment period.
For more information on how this is being managed by redo, together with an account of due diligence assessments pursuant to §5 of the Transparency Act, refer to the report in the link under (Norwegian only).
